The Welscans are the most ancient human people in the Southlands, many being able to trace back their lineages to the coming of the dwarves, and the age of bronze. The states of Tuland and Loraigne actually developed from Welscan ancestors, but a large population of semi-nomadic “true” Welscans still exists in the Wildlands, maintaining their centuries-old traditions. The Welscans are also great explorers, having colonised areas of the coast in both the Midlands and the Northlands, each with different cultures and language now.
