Demons

Ever since the gates started functioning again, the creatures many refer to as demons have been a constant threat. Occasionally appearing from and around gates, demons are savage beasts that slaughter every living thing they can find. Incursions are unpredictable, and as such, communities around gates must constantly be guarded, or else they will wake up one day to find the chilling howls of demons to be their final memories.

Demon armies are varied and diverse, lead by bigger, more powerful versions of these creatures, in a frenzied charge towards the enemy. If there are no other creatures in sight, demons will normally start infighting, and many incursions simply wipe themselves out if left alone.
